In 2017, the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and US Military responded to a security outbreak in the Horn of Africa region. This emergency deployment increased both entities’ regional footprint and incorporated several new locations. A reliable and rapidly deployable SPV platform with supply chain management and logistics was urgently required to support the on-going mission.
Providing SPV support and services for military cooperation exercises
Since 2011, the US and Moroccan Militaries have engaged in bi-annual, bilateral exercises aimed at improving interoperability and a mutual understanding of country’s tactics, techniques, and procedures. A reliable SPV platform was required to support the operation on a regular basis.

The Egyptian and US Armed Forces have engaged in joint training exercises every two years since 2003 to strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding of tactics, techniques, and procedures. An efficient SPV platform with supply chain management and logistics was required for the regular supply of subsistence and fresh food items during operations.
Creating a logistics and supply chain for the US Navy
Starting in 2011, the US Military joined the international military operation in Libya to enforce the United Nations Security Council’s Resolution. The US Military required a heavy increase in normal stock levels to support the Navy’s escalated movement in the Mediterranean.
Rapid mobilization of tailor-made solution in Ebola outbreak zone
During the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Liberia, EFS and DLA responded with rapidly deployable, tailor-made solutions to support several thousand of US Army personnel deployed to 12 locations throughout the region. A tailor-made solution was necessary that seamlessly incorporated an SPV platform, procurement services, logistics, transportation, distribution, and life support services to successfully complete the mission.
